Restart code-insiders --disable-extensions --disable-gpu --user-data-dir . code-insiders --disable-gpu uninstall insiders remove the ~insiders/extensions restart the system download the fresh installer and install enable setting sync to get back all the settings and extensions. so far insiders' is running fine the blank window issue is not coming.

17 I just encountered this issue myself on Visual Studio 2017 (30-day evaluation expired too so Eduardo Zavala's suggestion isn't possible).
